Theme    : The Hardest Thing I Have To Do

THE BAD TRIP

Well I will tell about my experience last year, I will tell about the hardest thing I have to do.
The story begun I got the chance to followed  Gladi Madya  training held in Godean, Yogyakarta, last year. My friends and I (Panggo and Purbo) went to Yogyakarta by train.Before we went to Yogyakarta I did not agree to go to Yogyakarta by train because I think it is easier to use the bus. But they still want to use the train and then I followed them, and we bought a train ticket from Pasar Senin station to Lempuyangan station Yogyakarta.

After one week we ordered train tickets we got ready to went to Yogya immediately.
And that day has arrived, I am out of the house at six o'clock and then I went to the station to find the bus to Rajabasa with panggo, then we pick Probo in Rajabasa, after that we used night bus to the Bakau or Bakauheni harbour, and I still felt good, then after that we arrived at the harbor and walked towards the ship carrying the heavy suitcase I was getting tired. To the next morning we arrived at Merak Belatung horbor at three o’clock in the morning but we had to wait several hours to buy tickets to the train station Gambir.
We had to walk from Merak harbor the train station and then heavy rain. I felt tired and than at six o’clock in the morning we went to Gambir station by train, our trip for four hours. We arrived at Gambir station at ten o'clock in the morning and unfortunately we had to wait for the train to leave for Yogyakarta ten o'clock at night, I cried and I was tired because I was carrying a heavy suitcase, after from Gambir station we stopped in the Kota Tua Jakarta to rest but heavy rain and we shelter under Kota Tua post office Jakarta, but it's not a decent place to take shelter. After the rain stopped around four o'clock in the afternoon we continue our trip to the Pasar Senin station, and we arrived at the Pasar Senin station but we still have to wait for the departure of the train to Yogya ten o'clock at night.

Time has showed ten o'clock at night and then we went inside the the train. passenger trains were very full and I felt uncomfortable, I felt this is a bad trip I have ever done. The journey to Yogya for ten hours. At eight o'clock in the morning we arrived at the Lempuyangan Yogyakarta station. I feel relieved, my friends and I breakfast together in the restaurant  near the station Lempuyangan. Then we continue our journey towards Godean by bus. After arrived at Godean, we were take arest at the guesthouse student and after that we start Gladi Madya training for ten days.

Description Of Narrative Writing

A narrative is the story (fiction or non-fiction) told and the order in which it is told.   Sometimes, there is a narrator, a character or series of characters, who tell the story. Sometimes, as with most non-fiction,  the author himself/herself in the narrator.  Narrative writing is very important in your day-to-day life.  For the rest of your life,you will write texts, e-mails, cover letters, blogs, etc. about  your beliefs,  your ambitions, information you know, and feelings you have.  What could be more important?      

Narrative writing in fiction and non-fiction (and even poetry) tells others the stories of our personal experiences and allows us to gain empathy and sympathy about the world around us. 

 Narrative writing is a style of writing in which a story is told from a particular point of view.

How To Differ From Other Writing Genres

One of the most important considerations is the genre or form the writing will take: a story? a letter? a poem? an essay? A writing activity could be handled in any one of these ways. Students learn to use a variety of writing genres; six are described in the table below. Through reading and writing, students become knowledgeable about these genres and how they’re structured (Donovan & Smolkin, 2002). Langer (1985) found that by third grade, students respond in distinctly different ways to story- and report-writing assignments; they organize the writing differently and include varied kinds of information and elaboration. Because students are learning the distinctions between various genres.

Genre		Purpose
Expository writing		Students collect and synthesize information. This writing is objective; reports are the most common type. Students use expository writing to give directions, sequence steps, compare one thing to another, explain causes and effects, or describe problems and solutions.
Descriptive writing		Students observe carefully and choose precise language. They take notice of sensory details and create comparisons (metaphors and similes) to make their writing more powerful.
Narrative writing		Students retell familiar stories, develop sequels for stories they have read, write stories about events in their own lives, and create original stories. They include a beginning, middle, and end in the narratives to develop the plot and characters.
Journals and Letters	Students write to themselves and to specific, known audiences. Their writing is personal and often less formal than other genres. They share news, explore new ideas, and record notes. Students learn the special formatting that letters and envelopes require.
Persuasive writing	Persuasion is winning someone to your viewpoint or cause using appeals to logic, moral character, and emotion. Students present their position clearly and support it with examples and evidence.
Poetry writing	Students create word pictures and play with rhyme and other stylistic devices as they create poems. Through their wordplay, students learn that poetic language is vivid and powerful but concise and that poems can be arranged in different ways on a page.

All the paragraph absolutely the general step is use topic sentence, supporting sentence, concluding sentence. But for narrative writing or other genres have specific step.

   Generic Structure of Narrative

A narrative text consists of the following structure:

1.      Orientation: Introducing the participants and informing the time and the place

2.      Complication: Describing the rising crises which the participants have to do with

3.      Resolution: Showing the way of participant to solve the crises, better or worse

 Language Features of Narrative

·    Using processes verbs

·          Using temporal conjunction

·    Using Simple Past Tense

·     Using action verbs

·      Using time conjunction

·      Using thinking verbs

The steps how to make a narrative writing

1.      Choose a topic that will appeal to the designated audience for your narrative paragraph.

Example :  And this is my achievement that I ever got in last year is I got second

       winner in coval group competition.

2.  Write a topic sentence that introduces what key information will be in the paragraph.

 3.   Create an outline of your paragraph that begins with your topic sentence and contains at least  three important details from your list.

Supporting Details      : a. In 20^th November 2013 , sub district head held many competitions

      one of which is a vocal group competition.

     we still showed singing with the maximum, because we does not

     want our practice every night becomes useless.

Introductory Paragraph

1.      Well, if we talk about achievement of course all of people ever feel their achievement, actualy achievement is best thing in our life, you know way ? because achievement is something to be proud for our self, family and each other. So, when we get that achievement is part of our happiness. And this is my achievement that I ever got in last year is I got second winner in coval group competition.

Orientation

2.  In 20^th November 2013 , sub district head held many competitions one of which is a vocal group competition. My friends and I are interested to follow the competitions  and we did the registration. Yustina, Fidel, Gega and I practiced every night for one week.

            Complication

3.      One day,  the singing competitions was begins, we were feel nervous and we were waiting for our turn to sing. Unfortunately Gega passed out before we perform singing group, we became more panic and nervous because one of our members is reduced.

        Resolution

4. Finaly, Yustina, Fidel and I changed our singing duties and the current formation stage, it is not easy but we have to do because we decided to continue the competition without one of our friends. Then we perform singing with the different circumstances, however we still showed singing with the maximum, because we does not want our practice every night becomes useless. And the last when the jury announced the winner, we waited anxiously. But after that we were happy because we got a champion competition vocal two of this group,

and we got reward, trophies and certificates.

   Concluding Paragraph

5.      Well that all my story about singing competitions, even though we face the problem before the performance, but we were confident and show the best, it is the best way. This is achievement who make our parents proud of us.
